A New Era for Process Safety starts August 1, 2026

Effective August 1, 2026, we rolled out a major evolution of the Kenexis Integrated Safety Suite. This refresh brings a modernized look and feel, a unified Kenexis-led naming convention across our entire software portfolio, and two brand-new products — all part of our ongoing commitment to giving you the best tools for managing process safety and risk.

What’s New in the Upgraded Platform

Faster performance. We’ve streamlined performance and data processing under the hood, so you’ll notice quicker load times and more responsive tools right when you need them most — during critical projects and deadlines.

more intuitive experience. Safety and risk management work is complex enough without fighting your software. Our revamped interface simplifies everyday workflows, making the platform easier to navigate and master.

Built for the future. The platform now runs on modern, robust architecture designed to scale with your organization and adapt as your safety and engineering needs evolve.

Unified Product Naming

To make it easier to find the right tool for the job, every product in our suite now carries consistent, functional name — prepended with “Kenexis®.”

Here’s how the legacy names map to the new lineup:

Legacy Name New Kenexis Name
Open-PHA® Kenexis® Open-PHA®
Vertigo Kenexis® SIS
Arbor Kenexis® Fault Tree
Bowtie-Q Kenexis® Bowtie
Open-Audit Kenexis® Open-Audit
Effigy® Kenexis® Fire & Gas Mapping
KISS API Kenexis® API

Introducing Two New Products

Kenexis® Consequence Modeling, powered by CANARY by Quest™, brings an industry-leading engine for thermodynamic calculations and fluid release simulations directly into the suite — letting you build and run complex cases in minutes, not hours.

Kenexis® MOC (Management of Change) takes change management off spreadsheets, email threads, and SharePoint and puts it on a single, auditable workflow — from Proposal through Closure — on the same cloud platform as your PHA and SIS data. Because it’s connected directly to your hazard analysis, the question every process safety engineer eventually asks — does this change affect the PHA, do we need to revalidate, does a SIL calculation change — can be answered without ever leaving the platform.

Same Trusted Tools, Better Than Ever

The names have changed, but the depth and rigor you rely on from Kenexis haven’t. We’re excited for you to experience the upgraded platform and the new additions to the suite. Contact us with any questions about the transition.
