Mr Mitchell manages the engineering consulting operations at Kenexis and plays a key role in driving the ISO-9000 quality management system that ensures a high level of customer satisfaction and a continual improvement of service delivery.
His future priorities in this area include formalizing the competency management system for safety & security consulting practices. In a recent interview Mr. Mitchell stated that, “Our challenge is to continuously improve the consistency and quality of engineering services throughout Kenexis, which has an increasingly global reach. We have an international clientele both within the process industries and beyond, who consistently demand the same high value of service be delivered anywhere in the world.”
With his 25 years of experience in process safety, he has taken an active role in helping define and standardize industry practices for performance-based Fire & Gas System engineering.
He has a background in public service and accident investigation in which he has developed first hand experience of the multi-faceted roles that process automation and human error play into major accidents.
Mr. Mitchell has a vision of the future of process safety includes expanding the role of well-engineered technology and information systems to aid in safeguarding and securing process industry plants.
